ABYS Travel Team Tryout Information
Spring 2023 Tryouts - For Fall 2023 & Spring 2024 Seasons
The information below is for those players who want to try out for a TRAVEL team in the Fall of 2023. If your child wants to remain in the town intramural program next Fall, they DO NOT need to go to the tryouts
ABYS will be conducting tryouts for next year's Grade 3 through Grade 6 travel teams.
All players who want to be considered for a travel team should attend both tryouts for their grade group.
ABYS uses an online registration process for all players planning to attend try outs. All players interested in attending try outs for the ABYS Travel Teams must register ahead of the try outs using the below link:
Upon reaching the site, you will need to create a family account - you will only have to do this once. This process will require an upload of your child's birth certificate for age verification so be sure to have this handy before proceeding. Picture files and PDF files are both acceptable. Please be patient as we transition to this new system for registering for tryouts. Feel free to contact [email protected] with any issues or questions.
If your child is not currently playing this season and wants to tryout, please register your child as outlined above. Tryouts will consist of a series of small-sided games where professional evaluators will be assessing each player. The travel team selection process will also include coach's evaluations, and some game evaluations from the current season.

*Players entering the "Grade 3" division must be entering Grade 3. Per BAYS regulations, players in entering younger grades are not eligible for playing Travel Soccer until they reach third grade.
All tryouts will be held at Flerra Meadow Fields in Boxborough (Directions). All players should arrive with plenty of water and be ready to play wearing a white/light colored shirt, cleats and shin guards. Players DO NOT need to bring a soccer ball to tryouts. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in and receive instructions.
PLEASE NOTE that if your child is a current Grade 2 player, you should follow the Grade 3 (Girls or Boys) schedule below. Other age groups should follow the schedule for the grade that your child will enter in Fall 2023. Please note the eligibility dates listed above.
